Why Kids should have a Sports Passion Like DD?

Why kids should have a sports passion like DD?

Reviewing key importance of kid’s sports

Sometimes, children face attention and learning issues, which make the parents feel that the kids aren’t good at anything. But it has often been observed that those kids do extraordinarily well when it comes to playing sports. In this scenario, parents should continuously support the sports passion in their children to help them grow in the best way possible.
There’re lots of sports activities that parents can help their kids get involved with. Sports like baseball, basketball, football are great examples of these activities that offer a multitude of benefits to the kids.
Here’re some of the major benefits of helping kids nurture their sports passion.
It increases self-esteem
Just like any other subject, being good at kid’s sports is very important for the development of a kid’s self-esteem. By playing team sports, he or she will learn to earn and give respect to others, apart from building a robust self-esteem for self. Engaging in different sports not only help the children find their strengths but also let them stay happy and motivated, just like DD.
It promotes healthy development
Having a passion for sports contribute heavily toward the healthy development of a kid. Not only does it helps them to stay fit, but also improves their bone development and cognitive ability. In addition, sports passion for kids let them learn teamwork and social skills.
Apart from these, regular participation in sports can help the kids learn and combat their fears, and develop steadiness, all of which would come in handy in their adulthood, when the stakes become much higher.

DD has Sports Equipment Superhero Friends – Who Would be Yours?

Usually a kid’s key form of interaction with the world is done through physical play and touch. They pick things up, examine them, and start learning the exhilarating sensation. Principles like fun, friendship, and teamwork arise naturally from these activities. When it comes to pushing kids into sports, many parents often struggle. While some kids gravitate toward it naturally, others may not demonstrate much interest. In such a scenario, kids’ favorite sports equipment can come to the parents’ rescue.
For parents who often have difficulty in keeping their children excited about sports or fitness, here’s an example of Dewey Does – the featured character in the Dewey Does 110 animation series. Dewey is a nine-year-old boy who loves everything sports. When he was a baby, Dewey’s parents noticed that he would show special interest in toys that were related to sports. He would actually start crying if any of his toys didn’t resemble any sports equipment. Dewey gets his passion for fitness, activity and sports from a lot of entertaining gym friends. His sports equipment friends are like super heroes and are capable of taking on the personality and attitude of their respective sport as well as where they originated from. Each story of the animation series typically starts with Dewey and his gym and sports equipment friends.
Like Dewey, every child can happily get into sports and fitness activities. It’s up to the parents to encourage them and do their best to maintain the fun and excitement related to those activities.

Evaluating Sports Vs Video Games

Reviewing the Difference between Video Games and Sports

These days, video games seem to be the preferred choice of many youngsters. As a parent, deciding amongst sports vs. video games could be a tough choice but if those who want their child’s health to benefit the most should definitely cast their vote in favor of outdoor sports.

Obesity is on the rise among young children and the reason could be attributed to a sedentary lifestyle. Playing video games (and munching on unhealthy fries, burgers, or sipping cola in-between) could be a significant factor triggering this worldwide malice. To help kids stay away from obesity and thus, a number of related health risks, it’s best to get them out on the field and encourage them to play active sport like football, baseball etc. One can take inspiration from how Dewey Does loves and enjoys sports to stay active and healthy.

The difference between video games and sports isn’t just limited to their indoor and outdoor nature. Unlike playing on one’s own (or even with a few friends while being cooped in one’s room), playing active sports with friends would teach the kids many important lessons – from discipline and teamwork to mutual respect and goal setting. The children will also learn to work towards a common objective, often putting the team’s needs ahead of their personal gains. This will teach them the true essence of sharing and caring, and help them grow into responsible adults, which is one of the major benefits of playing sports.

When it comes to comparing between indoor and outdoor games, the latter refreshes the mind, gives ample exercise to the body, and brings positivity into the kids’ life. These are just some of the reasons why sports will always have an upper hand in the battle of sports vs. video games.

Do All Kids Have to Play Sports?

Reviewing Key Importance of Children Games

There’re people who often ask why do all kids have to play sports? To get the answer, the importance of physical activity for kids needs to be understood at first. In today’s world of increasing digital engagements, the percentage of kids who get a good amount of exposure to the outside world apart from their schools and classes has become significantly low. Sometimes, parents also force them to focus only on indoor study. But letting the child play different outdoor games brings several benefits for the little ones, which even includes a higher probability of doing better at school. For those parents who’re still on the fence, here’re the key reasons why every child should be encouraged to participate in sports.

Helps to Develop a Can-Do Attitude

Children learn a lot from their parents but practicing those things is a crucial aspect of development. When a kid takes part in sports, the tenacity to hone his/her skill helps him/her to develop a can-do attitude. In addition, the kid also learns how to overcome obstacles and still achieve his/her goal.

Organized Activity

Though the types of children games can vary greatly, they all have one thing in common – the format is structured and organized, which helps them stay away from getting bored and instead, learn lots of life skills. However, parents and teachers need to plan out the sports schedule carefully based on their child’s interests. In most cases, getting the kid enrolled in a youth sports academy becomes extremely helpful in this regard.

So, keeping in mind the above benefits, it can be concluded that the answer to the question “do all kids have to play sports” is a resounding “yes”.

Parents Fighting at Youth Games – What Happened in DEWEY DOES Game?

What everyone needs to know about youth sports violence.

A parent fighting at their kids’ game is indeed an issue. It may not be a major one but it’s a matter of concern when it comes to rude parental behavior or improper sideline behavior. There certainly remains a cursory mention of treating everyone with respect, but parents often forget that and start fighting with other parents or the sports officials.

A classic example of how situations can worsen because of parents fighting can be seen in the story of Dewey Does. One day, Dewey had his big game – the Doesville Baseball Classic. Parents were also extremely excited for their kids’ games. It was a game full of tension that heightened when the score was tied with parents yelling at umpires. Finally, Dewey’s team won the game and there was an abundance of happiness due to the victory. But the happy feeling dramatically changed when some parents started fighting because the game didn’t go in the favor of their kids. They were arguing and throwing pieces of food, pop corn etc at each other.

Finally, the disturbance got out of control, and one lady got hurt and needed to be taken to the hospital. The Doesville fire department and police were called to the field to manage the uncontrolled situation.

The question is – didn’t the parents need to manage their improper behaviors? One may argue that everyone’s human and humans are apt to make mistakes. But it’s again true that youth sports violence lead to nothing but ruin the experience for everybody when parents do foolish things at those games.

Developing Camaraderie in Kids from Participating in Team Sports

Reviewing key importance of sports in developing mutual trust

For some children, skills like camaraderie, friendship etc. come very naturally and they’re able to open up to new people and share their experiences easily. But for some others, these things can be much difficult to navigate. Even though sometimes parents interfere or take responsibility for their children’s actions, it’s beneficial for the kids to build and manage their own relationships.

For parents, who’re struggling to teach their kids the value of fellowship, encouraging the little ones to participate in team sports can be greatly useful. Here’re some ways that show how taking part in sports can help the kids develop this skill.

Team sports is all about playing the game in a coordinated manner while encouraging each other, developing mutual trust, and learning from others’ positive criticism. With multiple players working toward a common goal, children get the opportunity to develop priceless and unquantifiable camaraderie. It’s a lifelong benefit for kids, as they’ll appreciate the importance of nurturing close relationships with others quickly.

In today’s scenario, participating in team sports provides a way for children to avoid different temptations. It also encourages them to be sociable. In addition, the teamwork involved in these sports helps the kids learn how to earn from and give respect to others.

Arguments are a normal part of friendships, especially during the childhood. In such cases, parents should take some time out and have a conversation with the kids, share some advice, and help them understand that ups and downs are parts of the relationship.

Reviewing Importance of Sports Ethics

Sportsmanship is all about the character, skill, and practice of the people involved in sports. The people include the players, their parents, general spectators and coaches. Sometimes, winning a match becomes extremely important to some of the spectators, especially to the parents of players – and that’s what happened in Dewey’s big game, the Doseville Baseball Classic. In the game, some of the parents started arguing with others and throwing things at each other. The incident was far from displaying sports ethics and had a negative impression on the youths’ minds.

Here’re two ways good sportsmanship can impact the players.

It emphasizes fairness of the game

Rules in sporting events aren’t developed to make the game more difficult. Instead, they’re there to keep things organized. Though it’s tempting to break or go around those rules, players who respect them put their best foot forward to keep the game fair.

It promotes teamwork

Though some players believe that their individual performance matters to them only, negative behavior exhibited by one player impacts the entire team severely. When every player is a strong believer of true sportsmanship, they start to encourage and respect each other, and try to learn from constructive criticism by others.

When players try to go beyond the game, they start looking beyond just winning the game. They decide to be a good opponent, good teammate, and above all, a good person, which help them to have an enjoyable and clean competition. This also leads to creating champions, who’re able to excel both inside and outside the field.
